Tips to maintain your pinball machine after it has been serviced: - Handle Playfield or Backbox glasses carefully and safely. Turn game OFF and allow to cool down a bit. If game is in a very cold room, do not handle glasses with warm hands (use gloves). Set the glasses on a piece of carpet or a towel (don't set them on tile). - On some older games: when lifting the playfield, retract the shooter so the playfield edge won't nick the shooter tip. - Keep the game clean, but don't use abrasives or water-based products (Fantastik, 409, etc.) on the playfield or cabinet. Instead, use Novus 1 or 2 products and/or Carnauba-based paste wax. - Protect the game at all times from heat, sunlight, moisture, and flying objects. - Pay attention to unusual noises, smoke, or a burning smell. Shut the game off immediately if this should happen... and contact me! :) - Don't be shy and remove the plastics to allow better accessibility. When re-installing, do not over-tighten screws or nuts! - Do not ever spray anything inside a machine. Spray on a cloth and wipe. - Store game documentation in a large envelope inside the game, not filed away elsewhere. - Have a spare lock key? Screw it to the bottom of the game cabinet. |
